I’ve been a big dude ever since I was in grade school (I take after my uncles) but once I graduated high school it kind of got out of hand. In 2002 I woke up and was weigh bigger than I ever wanted to be and since I’ve struggled and made many attempts at shedding all this extra poundage. My heaviest was March of 2006 at 347lbs and I’m never going back there again. This blog is to ensure that.

I’m not doing any fancy diet or spending hours on end in the gym everyday but I am making smart choices on what I put into my body, limiting my portions and getting out and moving around. I’ve attempted other ways (even this way before) and just seem to lack the execution in the long run. I want to get to a healthy weight and lifestyle so I can be around for many years to watch my future unfold as it may.

Goals/Progress

My goal is to go from 330 lbs to 200 lbs but I do have other milestones I’d like to hit between now and then.

Milestone 1: 299.9 lbs (under 300) by 1st January weigh-in

Milestone 2: 275.9 lbs (276 is the lowest I’ve been since July 2002) by Feb 15th*

*Milestones may be moved up if I reach the previous milestone earlier than expected.

Started (11/2/09) 330lbs
Current Weight (11/23/09) 320.6lbs
Total Weight lost 9.4lbs

A smaller portion of this blog but still a legitimate chunk will be devoted to fattening my wallet while my waistline shrinks. Though I’ve been able to get away from living paycheck to paycheck I still have a decent amount of debt built up from college/early 20′s that needs to go away and I also want to be setting myself up for a solid financial future.

I’ll be posting from time to time about thoughts/tips I have on paying off debt, saving money and tracking/budgeting my money.
